On this Children’s Day, I urge everyone to pause and reconnect with the
child within us. Childhood is not defined only by age or chronology. Yes, we
celebrate the young, but the truth is, we are all children by nature, by spirit,
and deep within our hearts. That inner child never goes away; it simply gets
buried beneath responsibilities, expectations, and the pressure to grow up.
As children, we question the world with curiosity, not with fear. We imagine
boldly, explore freely, and dream without limits. But as we age, our
questions change. Instead of asking why or how, we start asking, what if I
fail ? Or what will people think? Slowly, that fearless, creative voice grows
quieter.
Yet the child within us is our purest strength. It is the part of us that dares
to imagine a better tomorrow, that believes in possibilities, that looks at the
world with wonder. It is the part that encourages us to learn, to create, and
to approach life with honesty and courage.
Life gives each of us a canvas, and the brush is in our hands. To paint that
canvas with intention, we must embrace both responsibility and imagination.
So on this Children’s Day, let’s keep that inner child alive. Let’s nurture
curiosity, protect creativity, and allow ourselves to dream again. Let’s not
suppress the voice that seeks to emerge; the voice that still believes, still
hopes, still wants to grow.
When we honour the child inside us, we also honour the essence of this day.
Only then can we truly say, together and wholeheartedly;
Happy Children’s Day.
