The Song of Youth

The Song of Youth

The Song of Youth

Youth are restless by nature, and that is how it should be. If they were not, they would not be youth. They are the new buds growing on the branches of old trees, bringing with them a gentle new breeze. We must listen to them and learn from them patiently. They carry with them waves of freshness, the waves of transformation.

Too often, we bind them with rules of regularity and discipline. But youth cannot flourish that way. They need fresh air, free space, and openness to bloom. This generation holds the power to bring about a beautiful transformation if only we allow them to be untied from the conventional systems we have built.

Every generation tends to complain about the next, believing that the younger ones no longer value the same norms and traditions. This tension gives rise to intergenerational conflict, where the wisdom of experience meets the energy of change. Yet, this conflict need not divide us; it can become a bridge. The older generation can offer roots, while the younger one brings wings. When both learn to listen, the clash turns into harmony, and together they compose a richer, more meaningful song of progress.

Let us, therefore, rise above this intergenerational conflict and create a fearless and free environment in which youth can blossom. Once we stop comparing them to ourselves, they will truly flower.

We can offer them our advice, but we should not insist that they follow it. They will bring the fire of change, a fire that, like a lamp’s flame, will light our path toward growth and progress.
