MET Rishikul Vidyalaya (MRV), Mumbai, continued its first-ever STEAM Showcase 2026 with Secondary and AS Level students presenting innovative models, working solutions and demonstrations that connected academic concepts with real-world applications.

The showcase brought together Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through projects focused on sustainability, automation, scientific investigation, engineering and emerging technologies.

Grade VI: Exploring Science and Sustainability

Grade VI students explored the Human Urinary System and Dialysis, Levers and Pressure, Rainwater Harvesting, Water Purification and Energy. They also developed a Smart Urinary Bladder Monitoring System, applying scientific concepts to a practical solution.

Grade VII: Smart Solutions for Everyday Challenges

Grade VII students presented projects focused on automation and sustainability, including Smart Home Automation, a Mini Hydroelectric Generator, Hydroponic Farming, Automatic Waste Segregation, Eco-Friendly Homes and Automatic Street Light Controllers.

Grade VIII: Exploring Future Possibilities

Grade VIII students looked towards futuristic applications through projects such as a Cool City and a Hologram, encouraging exploration of emerging ideas and technologies.

Grade IX: Technology, Data and Engineering

Grade IX projects included Air Quality Monitoring, Robotic Automation, Circle Theorems, Trigonometry, Automated Irrigation and Smart Traffic Management. The projects demonstrated how mathematical and scientific concepts can contribute to solutions for real-world challenges.

AS Level Biology: Forensic Science in Action

AS Level Biology students explored forensic investigation through “DNA Detectives – Cracking the Case with Forensic Biology”. The MRV AS Levels Detective Team brought together biology, scientific investigation and analytical thinking to explore the role of DNA in forensic science.

AS Level Physics: Engineering Through Design

AS Level Physics and STEAM Lab students explored Aerodynamic Cars, applying principles of physics and engineering to understand how design can influence performance.

The projects presented at the MRV STEAM Showcase reflected the importance of hands-on and interdisciplinary learning. Students had opportunities to question, experiment, design, collaborate and communicate their ideas while exploring applications beyond conventional classroom learning.

The showcase highlighted how STEAM education at MRV encourages students to connect academic knowledge with practical challenges and develop skills in creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving.
