The MET Rishikul Vidyalaya’s 19th Annual day, ‘Anandvan (Primary) 2022’ was held on 23rd December, 2022 at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir. Based on the theme, ‘Celebrating Freedom’, the event began with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries, followed by Dr. G. Nagashree, Principal, MRV felicitating Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust and Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative.
Anandvan 2022 was enlightened with melodious and magical music by the MRV Taansens emphasising that music is a form of self-expression and liberation. This was followed by a beautiful set of dances by little divas: first to invoke the gods to shower their blessing upon everybody and then welcoming the most celebrated participants of the show, the audience.
In this year's MRV’s Primary Anandvan, three distinct stories were intertwined with the theme of celebrating independence. The first one was Rapunzel's tale. The second tale was on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's great escape from captivity. And how can one not bring up Sita's Rescue when talking about the subject of freedom? Hence, the third one was the traditional characters from Ramayana depicted in a modern approach. All the primary students were seen on stage for the Grand Finale of the show, chanting ‘SiyaVar Ramchandra Ki Jay’ in a joyful and frantic unison.
MRV students of Secondary, AS and A Level put on brilliant performances showcasing the talents of enthusiastic children in music, singing, dance and drama. Focusing on the theme of 'Celebrating Freedom', every skit stunningly displayed freedom from several kinds of captivity and was magnificently complemented by the heart throbbing dances by MRVians, making it one of the most memorable Anandvans!
It was indeed a victorious event where the great work of all the students, instructors, and other staff members were notably put forth.
